Keyboard Shortcuts
Shortcuts in the subtitle editor to help you proofread and edit subtitles more efficiently.
Video Playback Controls
The following shortcuts are active in the subtitle editor's video player area:

| Space | Play / Pause | Toggle video playback |
| K | Pause | Pause video playback |
| J | Rewind 5s | Skip back 5 seconds |
| L | Play / Toggle 2x | First press plays; press again to toggle 2x speed |
| Rewind 1s | Skip back 1 second for precise adjustment | |
| Forward 1s | Skip forward 1 second for precise adjustment |
Subtitle Search
| Shortcut | Action | Description |

| Cmd + F | Open search box | Search for keywords in the subtitle list |
| Enter | Next match | When the search box is focused, jump to the next match |
| Shift + Enter | Previous match | When the search box is focused, jump to the previous match |
Subtitle Selection
| Shortcut | Action | Description |
|---|---|---|
| Shift + Click | Range select | Select all subtitles between the last clicked entry and the current one |
| Cmd + Click | Toggle select | Add or remove individual subtitle entries from the selection |
Tip
After multi-selecting subtitles, you can right-click to batch delete or merge them, or click "Re-recognize" to re-run speech recognition on the selected entries.
