Automatically process new videos with Watch folder.

What Is Automation

The Watch folder continuously monitors a folder you specify. When a new video file is placed there, GeekLink automatically copies it to the Library and runs the selected task using your current settings.

When a new video appears in the folder, GeekLink copies it to the Library and transcribes it with your current speech-recognition settings.

When a new video appears in the folder, GeekLink copies it to the Library, creates source subtitles, and translates them with your current settings.

Ideal for batch-processing large numbers of videos, or for achieving a "drop and process" workflow.

Watch Folder is available from the Transcribe and Translate workspaces. It is intentionally not shown in OCR.

How to Use

  1. Open "Batch automation · Watch folder" Click the "Batch automation · Watch folder" button in the main interface to open the Watch Folder panel.
  2. Set the watch folder Enter the folder path to monitor in the text field, then click "Save path".
  3. Configure your Transcribe and Translate settings Watch folder processes new videos with your current Transcribe and Translate settings (recognition model, source and target language, translation engine), so make sure they are configured in advance.
  4. Confirm your Transcribe settings Watch folder uses the recognition model, source language, and advanced options currently selected in Transcribe.
  5. Confirm your Translate settings Watch folder uses the recognition model, source and target languages, translation engine, and advanced options currently selected for this workflow.
  6. Click "Enable" A dialog shows the settings that will be applied. Confirm it to begin monitoring. A "Monitoring" indicator appears in the top status bar.
  7. Drop in videos Place video files into the watch folder, and the system will automatically start processing.

Click Batch automation · Watch folder again to return to the workspace you came from.

Important Notes

Operations restricted during monitoring While monitoring is active, all manual write operations in the main interface (import, delete, OCR, translation, etc.) are disabled to avoid conflicts with automatic processing. To perform manual operations, stop monitoring first.
